Greetings! I had to write to tell you all how impressed I was with your gear. I purchased a new Violator suit earlier this year for this race season. I had normally worn Alpinestars suits, but I decided to give Teknic a chance after reading some very positive reviews on your suits. When the suit first arrived, I was very impressed with my new suit and couldn't wait for the race sason to start. Unfortunately, racing in Colorado means we don't get to start as early, nor enjoy as many race weekends, as other areas, so I had a long winter to wait before I was able to try my suit out.

Once the season started, I found the Violator suit ranks up there with suits that cost a lot more. I was wearing my suit on May 22nd when a crash abruptly ended my season. I was racing at Pikes Peak International Raceway with the Motorcycle Roadracing Association. I had come off the front straight, negotiated turn one and was taking turn two at about 90 MPH. I cooked my tires and low-sided as I was nearing my exit and about to stand the bike up. The bike "slid" sideways for about 6" before the tires lost their grip and I went down. The bike slid away and eventually tumbled, totaling my racebike. I, on the other hand, began tumbling the second I hit the ground. I ended up spraining both ankles and injuring my left knee. I also suffered a compound fracture of the right radius and ulna, which ended my season after only two races.

When I arrived at the hospital, the staff cut my brand new suit off of me and took me up for surgery. I was held overnight and released the next day with two new plates and twelve new screws in my right forearm. It wasn't until I got home and began inspecting my bike and gear that I noticed how well my Violator suit held up. It was scuffed from my tumbling and ragged from being cut by the nurse's scissors, but every seam held beautifully. Had they not cut through my leathers like Edward Scrissorhands, I probably would have been able to wear the suit again after a few minor repairs were made.

I've never before written a letter or left a comment expressing my gratitude with any manufacturer, but I had to write to you to tell you how impressed I was with your product. I don't know if you have a "customer's comments" section, but if you do, please feel free to add my "letter" to them. I cannot begin to express how thankful I am to have been wearing a Teknic Violator suit when I crashed. I'm still in a cast and I'm sidelined until next season, but I will definitely get back on the grid next year. And when I do, I'm sure a new Teknic suit will be protecting me!
