Dear Teknic Product Supervisor:

On June 29th, of this year my husband had the misfortune of being side swiped by a deer on our local highway.  He was knocked off his motorcycle in the impact and slid on the road for approx. 30-40 feet.  The deer was killed instantly, the bike was damaged beyond repair, but luckly my husband survived this incredible accident.  The OPP police officer on the scene, the ambulance driver, as well as the doctors and nurses in the tramma unit at our local hospital all agreed that he was extremely lucky to have survived.  All of them  as well as both Jim and I strongly believed it was because of his safety gear.

I am writing this letter as a testamony of the quality of your product.  Jim has always taken as many precautions as possible.  He always rides in full saftey gear with full face helmet, kavlar gloves, steel toe boots,  chaps over his heavy jeans and his Teknic “armor plated” jacket.  I have attached pictures of the jacket and the damage that it substained.  I strongly believe that Jim would no longer be with me if it had not been for the superior protection your coat offered him.  He did receive 6 broken ribs, a dislocated thumb, and a torn ligament detached from his thumb.  He has undergone many tests on his body, and an operation on his thumb.  He is at home now, recuperating.

Once he gets fully recovered – about 12 weeks, he will begin to look for a new bike and replace his equipment.  A Teknic coat will be the first thing on his list of safety equipment.   We fully believe that your product saved his life and we want you and others to know the value of someones life out weighs any cost of a product that is of excellent quality and consturction.  We will continue to be a positive spokes person for your product

Please feel free you use any of our comments in any of your ads or information.  We are a confirmed believer in your product.

Sincerely,

Lori and Jim Thwaites
